Filipino designer Bessie Besana holds first solo fashion show in Boracay

Bessie Besana, a New York-based Filipino fashion designer, held his first solo fashion show this March in Boracay's Station Zero, Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay.

Bessie, known as the designer behind Pia Wurtzbach's bridal gown for her wedding in 2023, unveiled his latest collection dubbed "Ray of Twilight" in a fashion show set against the breathtaking sunset backdrop unique to Boracay Island.

This milestone also marked the first-ever beachfront fashion show in Boracay, featuring a 20-piece bridal couture series inspired by the fleeting beauty of dusk.

The show's grand finale was a deeply romantic moment, as Miss World Philippines Tourism 2022, Justine Felizarta, walked hand-in-hand with her boyfriend, restaurateur Ben Arnold, in a scene that evoked the tender emotions of an actual wedding ceremony.

Boracay is arguably one of the most sought-after wedding destinations in the Philippines, with some celebrity couples choosing this island as their venue, including Rachelle Ann Go and Marin Spies, Bangs Garcia, and Lloydi Brichmore, and Patrick Garcia and Nikka Martinez, to name a few.
